New Recruit Ch. 8

Every one of the heroes, princesses, and animals mouth’s dropped. The villains just rolled their eyes.

Jafar’s eyebrows shot up. ‘Did she just...ask me to come on the stage with her?’

She smiled on the stage and spoke into the mic. “You coming up here silly?” Jafar was hesitant. His mind raced with the thought of how it could be a trick, she was famous among the villains for her pranks. Yet, he and a few of the others never got pranked. He never thought about this before. He contemplated on whether she really wanted to sing with him or not.

“Are you coming up here or not?” She said with a slight frown on her face. All eyes were on him now. He stood up and walked to the stage. She smiled and got the second mic ready for him. He walked up the steps and stood beside her.

She giggled and whispered, “You kind of look like you are ready for something bad to happen. Don’t be so scared. Besides, I KNOW you know this song.”

The background music started playing. Jafar smirked. He had only listened to this song on the radio millions of time thinking about her while humming along in his office. She winked at him before starting to sing.

“La la la la la. La la na na na.  La la la la la. La la na na na” She sang happily.

“Girl I've been all over the world, Looking for yoooooou.” “I'm known for taking what I think deserve. And you're overduuuuue.” “And if you listen you can hear me through the radio, In that bright white noise” “What I been missing in my life, What I been dreaming of,” Jafar pointed to her and smiled. “You'll be that girl, You'll be that girl, You'll be” Jafar sang.

The crowd was in awe at how amazing they sounded together so far.

“Everything you want so let me get up there.” “I'm the baddest baby in the atmosphere.” “Tell me what you want so we can do just what you liiiiiiiiiiike.” Kelsea sang beautifully.

“You make me feel that.” Jafar sang right after her.

“La la la la la.” Kelsea smirked while singing into the mic. Jafar noticed her face was pink.

“You make me feel so.”

“La la la la la.”

“You make me feel that.”

“La la la la la.”

“You make me feel so.”

“La la la la la.”

“You, you make me feel that.”

The song ended and the whole crowed roared into an applause. Gaea had been in the way back, hidden from view. She was displeased with Kelsea and what she did. She growled and got up from her table. She walked to the back of the stage where she would met up with Kelsea...and discuss with her how poorly that discussion of hers was...

We ended the song looking into each others eyes. He looked so happy, like a dream come true. My face felt red. ‘Gods, why am I blushing so much?!’ The crowd was so amazed with our performance that they even stood up! I was shocked by the positive feedback they had.

“All right, all right. That was a delightful show.” Pete said sarcastically as he waddled on to the stage. I smirked and rolled my eyes. “Now, who is ready for another short?!” Pete said with a grin on his face. I walked off and went behind stage. I thought I saw Jafar go back to his table but I am not quite sure. I was going to go back to my dressing room when I was violently grabbed by the hand and taken into a dark corner.

“I thought I told you not to go over the top with your singing?!” Gaea hissed. She looked so angry and aggravated.

I sighed. “I just wanted to. I had a gut feeling and-”

Gaea growled. “Its wise to listen to an elder. Or else bad things happen.” She hissed at me. Her beautiful forest green eyes turned dark blood red and her gently smile was now like a rabid dogs snarl. “You don’t plan on doing it again, right?” She said as her body tensed.

I avoided her eyes that I could really feel burning into my very soul. “Well...I was...” I looked at her quickly, my eyes watering from fear. “But it was only one more song! I swear!” Gaea’s eyes had a fire burning in them. She quickly raised her arm. I tensed up and closed my eyes, ready to get my punished.

But it didn’t come.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”

I slowly opened my eyes and gasped.

Jafar decided to go and ask personally why she wanted to sing with him. He went to  her dressing room. He walked backstage and heard voices...an angry voice.

He walked slowly over to the back corner. He saw an earthy looking elderly women getting frustrated with Kelsea, ready to hit her. Kelsea looked scared, stricken with fear. Jafar rushed over before she got hit. He grabbed the elderly women’s hand before it could hit the one he loved, and cherished. He gripped her wrist roughly.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”

I couldn’t believe he stood up for me. He stood up against Gaea, who has so much more power then him...’I can’t believe he did that. I...I don’t understand why.’

Gaea’s face had shocked all over it. “Did you just stop me?!”

Jafar’s eyes narrowed. “Even I know hitting a respectable young women is NOT tolerable.”

My face got deep red when he said those compliments about me. Gaea growled and looked at me. “This isn’t over.” She disappeared in a puff of green smoke.

“Thank you.” I said quietly.

Jafar looked at me softly. “I am sorry I didn’t get-”

 Before he got to finish, I quickly pecked his cheek. I smiled shyly. “You don’t have to be. Just say you’re welcome.”

Jafar smiled. “Well, then you are most welcome my dear.” He bowed a little.

I giggled. “Well I better go see Meghan. She is probably worried about me.”

Jafar nodded with a slight frown on his. I could tell he was enjoying every second of my company. I stood on my toes and lightly kissed his lips. “Thank you again.”

Jafar took my hand and kissed it. “It was not an issue my dear.” I waved my hand slightly and walked back to my dressing room, dazed from what just happened.

Clarabelle could not believe her eyes. She just saw Kelsea and Jafar, TOGETHER. And not just together, she kissed him! Clarabelle had to tell everyone right away. For this was the best gossip this cow ever ran into, and it could not go untold.
